My name is Waleed and I am a first year Ph.D. student working under Dr. Cheng Huang. I hail from the South Asian nation of Pakistan but have had the pleasure of experiencing life in Turkey, South Korea as well as the U.S! I’m interested in fluid mechanics and thermal sciences, particularly in combustion. My research involves the numerical modelling of combustion processes, utilizing reduced-order models and data assimilation methods. I worked as a chemical operations engineer for 3 years, prior to starting my doctoral studies.
