KUAE Student Teams Achieve Three AIAA Design Awards

KUAE student teams won three awards in the 2019-2020 AIAA Design Competition.

“Team Road Runner” won second place in the 2019-2020 International AIAA Graduate Team Missile Design Competition. Team members are Max Johnson, Jacob Gorman, Justin Matt, Steven Meis, Andrew Mills, and Nathan Sunnarborg.

“Team FREEDOM (Fast Response Enemy Emulating Defense Operations Missile)” won third place in the 2019-2020 International AIAA Graduate Team Missile Design Competition.  Team members are Nicholas Stefan, who served as leader, Mehdi Pedari, Jacquelyn Rech, Kylie Crawford, and Kyle Herda.

“Team Super Aerial Bros” won third place in the 2019-2020 International AIAA Graduate Team Aircraft Design Competition. Team members are Grant Godfrey, Brio Ratzlaff, Francisco Caceres, Thomas Kennedy, and Tyler Schwallie.

Dr. Ronald Barrett served as advisor to all three winning teams.

These teams’ victories on the international stage reflect KUAE’s ongoing tradition of innovation, creativity, and applied knowledge. Congratulations to each on this external recognition of their efforts.
